Welcome to episode 71. As we head into the final quarter of 2024, we're already actually in November. I am going to, uh, wrap up this, uh, year, uh, going over, uh, 10 X jumps. So it's going to be a lot of business, uh, related stuff. And, um, I hope it encourages those that are business minded, as we wrap out the year. So I wanted to just. to kind of discuss, what I'm talking about when I say 10 X and, nothing to do with Grant Cardone for those who are Cardone. I'm not sure if I'm saying his last name right. Nothing to do with that. This actually has to do with one of my favorite authors. It's that, um, Dan Sullivan and Dr. Ben Hardy, a lot of his books. And so they have a, they have a book and it's called 10X is Easier Than 2X. And I'll just kind of give a brief overview of that book. And then I plan to, uh, wrap up this year sharing some of my stories on 10x jumps. And it's not necessarily what you think of 10x, a lot of times people think it's just to do with finances, but the truth is, uh, 10x jumps throughout your life, they can be just, Areas that you've made a change and improvement that made all the difference in certain areas of your life. So I'm going to talk about that. It will be mostly business oriented, but I will share stories of how it's, um, enriched my life and made it all the better on the personal side. So, um, the book that kind of has got me thinking about this is 10 X is easier than 2 X. And As I, we moved, uh, we're here in Montana, kind of drove back from Texas, and I also switched, uh, to a four hour work week. It had me a little bit in, uh, kind of a shock. We, I had almost too much change in a short period of time and I was making myself not do the work that I was supposed to step away from and forcing myself to focus on the things that I was I'm supposed to now spend my time on and it was almost like I had to create all these new habits and it was very difficult and I felt a little overwhelmed or discouraged and I ended up, um, I've read this book before but I put this book on as I was gathering courage in this new season. It's definitely a new season for me. I will say, in addition to kind of really trying to focus and stay on track, I have shared a couple times about saying no in situations and really encouraging people, um, to know what you want and go after it. And there's a quote, it says, say no to everything so you can say yes to what's most important. And I will tell you. I have said no a lot lately and I think there's a good chunk of people not very happy with me because, you know, I've had some opportunities. Um, I've had some requests and I am narrowly focused in on what I should be doing. And so a lot of people that would like me to maybe work on some other stuff or I even had a Someone in my circle discuss having a partnership for maybe some real estate and it's just like I am learning Where I'm going and what I need to do and if it doesn't line up, it's definitely nothing personal But it's just I know to say no, but I have noticed so I can understand plenty of people Struggling with saying no, because I've had some uncomfortable conversations and some folks not very happy because when you decide to make some changes, there's going to be people in your life that don't like you doing that. Cause they like you. To continue with certain things. So you could relate that to your personal or you could relate that to business. It works both ways. There's going to be unhappy people and it's not easy. And for whatever reason, in this new season with my four hour work week and all this change, I have had a lot more been given out. Nose to folks and they, it, it's been a little bit tough, but, um, so moving forward, I'm gonna talk about this, um, book that's, uh, 10 x is easier than two x. And I'll just give you a very simple breakdown. But for those who have businesses or even if you're starting a new business, um, I think this is a great book to read it. Really gets you, um, almost creative, being, uh, creative on how you would like to see your business exponentially grow. Um, so in the concept is, is say, um, we have a project, we do bookkeeping and CFO services. Um, I don't know, let's just say I give you a service for 250 a month and I will provide this. Or I can have a unique customized service that's 2, 500 a month. The concept of this book is saying that, um, it takes the same amount of effort and energy to get either your 250 a month or your 2, 500 a month client. So if you aim for that unique 2, 500, Use the same amount of energy. You've created more revenue to allow you to grow much quicker. And, um, with a very specific clientele, uh, versus, um, growing your business with the 250 client, um, it'll take you 10 clients to catch up to the one. It's, it's very interesting. Um, but this, uh, 10 X. Book also talks about there are different things in your life that has nothing to do with finances that they call 10x growth. And that's actually what I'm mostly going to focus on because I love being able to look back and say, Oh my goodness, This one choice transformed my life for these reasons. And so that over the next, uh, a couple months, as we head into year end, I'm going to share these stories and I hope they challenge you and encourage you to do awesome stuff, both in business and in your personal life. So that was my little quick, um, uh, kind of. intro into this next, um, eight or so podcasts. Uh, if this sounds interesting to you, I would love a follow on our podcast and, um, yeah, have a great day.
