CEO Meets Homeschool with Timea Parker

Episode 93: Friday Prompts - Notes from Dr. Ben Hardy

Timea Parker Season 2 Episode 93
Timea:

Welcome to season two of CEO Meets Homeschool. My name is Timea Parker, and I'm both a CEO and homeschool mom to my four boys. Welcome to episode 93. This is my, I usually record in little. Sections the podcast. And so this is my final episode of today in the little group together, and I'm really excited. Oops. There goes my phone. I'm really excited about sharing this one, but I'll give you a little story to lead up to it. So Fridays, my kids are in ski school. We are six classes in, we have two to go. It has been so much fun. My two youngers ended up squeezing into the last two slots of ski school. My older kids, they go, but they, they're non ski school. And so, all of us have been just kind of doing our thing all day on Friday.'cause sometimes we'll go, but we'll go for an afternoon. But Fridays are a long day and what has been happening is. I will go up to the mountain, get my kids checked in. We take the chairlift all the way to the backside, and I, a lot of times it's my oldest and my husband and myself. So the three of us, which has been an extra gift by the way, hanging out with my oldest kiddo who's. Next year will be his senior year. I've treasured that time, but I get worn out quicker than my husband or my son. So we'll do a couple runs. Well, I usually try to do at least three, three runs, and then I go into the summit house and I'll get like a coffee or hot chocolate or something, and I go into my phone and I pull up these Friday prompts they're called, and so it's this newsletter I get every Friday. Oh my word. If you want extreme intentionality, I don't know if everyone's ready for this, but this is like right up my alley and I wanna share it with everyone because I have immensely enjoyed them. And, oh, I should have pulled this up before I started this podcast, but let me tell you like how extreme this is. So I think it was like the ninth. January, I get this Friday prompt and I'm reading it and it's something like, how do you feel about your year so far? And it was only nine days into the new year. And I remember laughing like, this is no joke. Like they're gonna hold you accountable it like to yourself. You know what I mean? Like it's, it's the saying that it's you against you. Like how. Much will you push yourself? Like, I really love this newsletter. So today's podcast is me seeing if I can convince you to sign up for this and if it's inspiring to you as it is to me. So if you type in Benjamin Hardy. His last name is spelled HARD y.com. It will pull up this gentleman's website and you scroll down and it'll just say, sign up for the newsletter. So that's what I'm calling, it's his Friday prompts. It's been fantastic. I think anyone could sign up, but probably more so entrepreneurs and CEOs might find it. The most useful, but a recent question just to show how extreme it is, and I, I love this stuff. Here's the question. If you are committed to 10 years of growth and results in 2025 alone, so what it's saying is you have to get 10 years worth of stuff in one year done. What's the clearest path to doing that? That's extreme, you know? And it's just, the thing is, is you can do that, but you have to change how you think of things and how you approach things. So I really love that newsletter and I wanted to share it. So if you end up signing up for it and hopefully enjoying it, I'd love to hear it. Send me a message. Have a great day. If you have enjoyed today's episode, please consider liking and subscribing. This will help me reach more CEOs and homeschoolers. Thanks so much.
