CEO Meets Homeschool with Timea Parker

Episode 106: Summer Adventures

Timea Parker Season 2 Episode 106

Welcome to season two of CEO Meets Homeschool. My name is Timea Parker, and I'm both a CEO and homeschool mom to my four boys. Welcome to episode 106. I wanted to share a little bit about our summer adventures. I know a few episodes ago I mentioned summer Hard and. I was thinking of summer, but we weren't full swing into summer yet. And now I feel like summer is full swing. It's moving faster than I can keep up with, but I'm grateful that I had put some really great things on the calendar and we're in the thick of it. And so right now I am actually in Canada with my four boys. We did a road trip for my dad's 75th birthday. And just coming out here, I'd done a few road trip with the kids and we love it. And so we ended up, we crossed over into British Columbia and then it kind of goes into Alberta and we stopped at Lake Louise. And of course we thought we would try the parking lot to see if we can see the lake and. I was told it would be impossible and it was impossible. So we kept going, but along once you get into the park heading toward Jasper, there's all these beautiful teal lakes. So we ended up stopping in these magical spots along the way. We saw glaciers, we saw teal colored lakes. The kids and I had a ton of fun, and we spent the first night in Jasper, and the place that we stayed at, it had these hot tubs. On the roof just overlooking the Canadian Rockies. And so the kids and I, we all went to the roof and just had a ton of fun. And the dynamic is so neat when you get your kids kind of out exploring the world. They're very independent. They are fun to travel with. They read everything they can get their hands on, kind of interested in facts, and if you're at a park, they'll read all the signs. It was just, it's been such a good time so far. And full of rest and friends and family. And we are actually staying at a lake near my dad's house. And someone, a friend of mine, I met a new connection. So a friend of my friend apparently lives nearby and I got a text message from a stranger saying they, they knew a, we have someone in common. And she's like, I'm bringing kayaks for your kids. So we've been out on this lake kayaking and. I just love how the unexpected can happen and my mom heart is full. My summer adventure mode is in full swing. And yeah, sadly we'll be heading back shortly, but the adventure continues. One of the stops that we're gonna make is actually at Lake Louise, and my plan is if you get up at five or six, you can actually make it to the lake with parking and see the Lake Louise Lake. So. To be continued. Let's see if I actually, if we get up and if we find a parking spot. Otherwise, it's still a beautiful adventure. Have a great day. I hope you all are having summer. Summer stories to tell your families. Alright, bye-bye. I'm so glad that you joined me today.
