CEO Meets Homeschool with Timea Parker
Episode 107: Impossible Goals
Welcome to season two of CEO Meets Homeschool. My name is Timea Parker, and I'm both a CEO and homeschool mom to my four boys. Welcome to episode 107. I'm gonna talk a little bit about a term called that I've been using a lot and other groups are using it as well called Impossible Goals, and it's kind of tied to. A group I've been somewhat tied to. That's kind of, I may dive deeper into that at another time, but what I wanna share is, aside from the fact that we're in summer, and it's been awesome, I wanted to flip over to the business side and say, I've been doing a ton of what I would call intense work, or some people use the term deep work where you're really hyper-focused on. Kind of more narrow topics another term. Sometimes people will say it's narrow and deep work. You don't have like a broad array of things you're working on, and it's been very satisfying, very challenging. And if you've heard me talk about Say No to everything, so you can say yes to what's most important on the business side. I have probably 10 XD on how much I'm saying no to so many things'cause we're really getting hyper-focused. So it's been very satisfying and it's not just summer adventures going on here, but really trying to be intentional in this season of my life with my small business as staff has been connecting with me on this. And we've been working together, building together. And I actually could share a little bit. One thing that I thought was just. Wonderful. And another kind of shout out to my team, I've almost got it to where my team can go out and hire new team members, almost like we have a SOP. And it's, it's, I trust my team and they know what to do and we have a standard procedure and it's such a beautiful thing to, to have that, that, I wanna use the word togetherness, teamwork, whatever you wanna call. And the same goes with. Also I've been, we've been doing some consults for new clients and whatnot, and really trying to focus in on where we're heading. And I noticed I am talking a lot less during these interviews or consults my team is taking over. And that is like the ultimate goal is you surround yourself with wonderful people who know the roles and just take ownership. And I was like, wow. They, they are exceptional. They are smarter than me and I just, I've been so grateful doing a ton of different kind of deep work lately and I just wanted to share, so I've got some impossible goals they call it, where really it's just kinda so far out there that somebody looking in might say there's no way, but there's a whole mind shift when you do that. So that's kind of the term on the reason we call it impossible goals, and it's been pretty exciting. So to be continued, I'm gonna probably dive a little deeper, but right now with the summer activities, I just wanted to give a bit of a teaser on. What's been going on with my business and some of the things up the ahead. Have a great day. I'm so glad that you joined me today.
